I have been very happily photographing bumps, newborns, babies and families now for over 20 years.   Over these years, my love for newborn photography has grown and grown, which is why Tiny Violets has been created – a website purely dedicated to Newborn Babies – and part of the larger company Shy Violet Photography.

I’ve always had a passion for photography, and it was a hobby for more years than I like to admit before turning professional in 2002.

My style is fresh and creative; I do love the very natural newborn images with the use of little to no props and accessories – but also have a fun and whimsical side to me, which comes through in a lot of the newborn art I create.

It’s such a wonderful stage in your lives; there is no other stage quite like it… and it passes far too quickly.   So it’s a real privilege when I am asked to capture these early days and I take the utmost care of your little one as I realise how very very precious they are.

My very favourite time to capture your newborn is between 6 and 12 days and I go up to 4 weeks (although before 2 weeks is preferable).

My studio is large and airy, with a friendly and comfortable vibe. You can look at the video here on line and there are a few pics too.  There is lots of soft seating so you can relax (and sleep if you need to  ) whilst I photograph your newborn baby.   It’s a large area but don’t worry your little one will not be at all cold – I keep it very warm for you and them.

Because it is such a special time in your lives, I want your newborn photoshoot to be special for you too and I do my best to make sure you relax and enjoy the whole experience.

I am a very open and honest person and I publish all package options on the website.  You will not have to pay a penny more than the package you book, unless of course you would like to add images or upgrade once you’ve seen all your images .  There are no hidden costs and nothing more to pay other than the price of your chosen package.
