Hello, and welcome to the Tiny Violets Photography (the newborn arm of Shy Violet Photography).  I’m Gaynor, a newborn photographer for over 25 years … with a heart full of love for tiny fingers, sleepy yawns, and those fleeting first days of life.

My studio in Springhead, Oldham, OL4 is cosy and warm, ideal for keeping your little newborn baby toasty during the photoshoot, ensuring as much sleep as possible, to get the best shots possible; those tiny curled up sleepy shots we all love.  Click here to view a quick video of my studio.

On arriving at my studio, you will be offered coffee or a soft drink and whilst chatting over these, you can also be choosing outfits for your newborn baby your shoot from my extensive collection for boys and girls.  A lot of the outfits are shown in the online galleries, although there are others not shown here.  There are 4 galleries in total – which show you my range of newborn ideas from the very natural White Collection to the more elaborate Swings and Things.

There is soft seating in the studio where you can make yourself comfortable and watch the adorable shots I capture as your shoot goes on. My newborn shoots allow plenty of down time time for feeding, coddling and soothing – so usually take about 2 hours minimum – but allow 2.5 to 3 hours.
